I’m a freelance travel writer and the creator of Solo in Seoul, where I help first-time visitors explore Seoul with confidence through honest guides, practical tips and local recommendations.
After living in South Korea for five years, I know just how overwhelming planning your first trip can feel. There are endless blog posts, TikToks and travel guides telling you what you have to do, but not always what will actually suit your travel style.
That’s where Solo in Seoul comes in.

Before becoming a full-time freelance travel writer, I moved from the UK to South Korea to teach English, where I spent five unforgettable years living, working and travelling across the country. What started as one big leap quickly became a second home, and it’s a place I always love returning to.
My travel writing has also been featured in publications including Travel Lemming, where I’ve written destination guides and travel advice for readers around the world.
